    These t-shirts are described as 100% cotton, but further down it states that they are 65% polyester, 35% cotton.

    Sounds like the T shirt was made of 2 different materials
    65% of one material was 100% polyester
    35% of another material was 100% cotton.
    eg a t shirt with a lace insert/ overlay.
    Which is how I reacd the advert.
