NCP Appeal Rejection 20th Jun 18 at 12:31 PM
    Hi there,

Been following the Newbies thread and reading the sticky re: appealing an NCP parking ticket and also searched and read other posts, but I'm struggling to find the info I need for stage 2 of the appeal..

I appealed the ticket as advised in the Newbies Sticky - waiting for 25 days(ish) then using the NCP online appeal form, pasting this template in "Template appeal for BPA or IPC members - copy this wording into the online appeal box:: "

I've now received a (what appears to be a standard) rejection email letter, which includes a POPLA verification code.

So, my question is, when and how do I make the POPLA appeal? Is there a template, etc? What info shoud I include/not include. Should I be expecting a NTK to come through the door and should I wait for that before appealing to POPLA?

I appreciate these questions have been asked hundreds of times already, and apologies for doing so again, but there is so much info on these threads now that it makes it difficult to find the the necessary posts.

You now need to read more of that NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

This time you need to read post #3 of that thread.

If it was a windscreen PCN your first point will be the lack of any NTK in the post, and you should string it out to get past day 56 as long as the POPLA code is still OK by then (it's why we say appeal firstly on day 26 to get almost halfway there).

You can find any POPLA appeal to copy from, by searching the forum for the name of the PPC and the word POPLA. Obviously then removing irrelevant stuff.

That's what I do myself when writing one, I read a few from recent weeks/months, find one that's got what I need (either an ANPR camera postal PCN one, or a windscreen PCN one with no NTK, and use that as your base).
PRIVATE PCN? DON'T PAY BUT DO NOT IGNORE IT TWO Clicks needed for advice:
Top of the page: Home>>Forums>Household & Travel>Motoring>Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking - read the 'NEWBIES' FAQS thread!
Advice to ignore is WRONG, unless in Scotland/NI.

Update - WIN. I appealed to POPLA on the basis of no NTK being received within the required time frame. I recently received an email from POPLA informing me that NCP did not wish to challenge the appeal so therefore I do not need to pay the parking charge.
