    I don't understand cricket either. Rugby six nations or world cup I always find enjoyable. I have enjoyed this football WC though, to be fair ...

    You don't share food?

    Mind you, it depends on the food.
    If it's got meat in it, it's all yours!

    If it's got chocolate in it, ditto.

    Totally off topic now, sorry David, but here are two recent crossword clues, which, while not Earth-shatteringly difficult, are rather neat in their cleverness, I thought!

    Give wading bird protection on flight? (8)

    Headgear for pig? It's of no consequence (2, 4)

    The answers and parsing are in whiteout below.

    Give wading bird protection on flight?(8)

    Answer: Handrail

    Indications:
    Give = hand
    Rail = a rail is a type of wading bird. I had to look that up as had never heard of it!

    Definition:
    Protection on flight
    A handrail gives you protection on a flight of stairs.

    Headgear for pig? It's of no consequence (2, 4)

    Indications:
    Pig = sow
    Headgear = hat
    So, headgear for pig = sow hat

    Definition:
    It's of no consequence = so what (sow hat)

    I hear that England are to withdaw their team from the World Cup because of Russia's involvement in the nerve agent poisoning affair.
