Message from Microsoft is it genuine? 16th May 18 at 9:27 AM
A message has popped up on my laptop from this address.

    http://safety.microsoft.com.ofnzjgronn.tubtaly8bwpgge.tra de/ow/en/index.php

It says I have virus and phishing problems, before I click on it is it genuine?

    It's a scam

It's probably not an infection but a pop up on another site

For safety though do a full scan with malwarebytes

Check the URL carefully up to the FIRST slash

    safety.microsoft.com.ofnzjgronn.tubtaly8bwpgge.trade/

I have highlighted the origin address in purple.
Completely ignore the stuff at the front about Microsoft.com - it's what's just before the first slash which is important!
