How to install windows 10 without disk advice please 16th May 18 at 9:21 AM
Hi my friend popped round yesterday and told me his PC is playing up badly and now he has lost everything because he messed about with it and so now wants to do a clean install but he bought it second hand ages a go without any disks, does the windows sticker help him that is on the back of the PC in anyway?

I was thinking that it gives him a licence to have windows or something like that.

I don't see how he can do a clean install without a disk, that makes no sense, so how should he proceed to do what he wants to do, does he have to buy windows 10 again or can he use the licence sticker on the back of the PC to obtain something for free?

Or is there anything else he can do to get it back to its original state?

On another PC, go here :-

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

Click download tool now and have a blank USB stick ready.

You can reset or refresh (or use the Fresh Start option which you'll find as part of Windows Defender). You don't need a disk.

Reset and Refresh you'll find in Settings -> Update & Security -> Recovery.
