Hi guys, need an opinion on vanguard lifestrategys focus on the UK and USA. The thing is I constantly read about the need to be diverse when it comes to things like region and I was wondering if I should put some money into another fund to balance it out e.g. japan index fund

I'm probably overthinking it and should probably just stick to the "keep things simple" rule.

There is already a japanese element and most models have less in Japan than they do UK and US.

Simple isnt important. its model that matters. A portfolio of single sector funds is not as simple but is often better. The important thing is knowledge and understanding. What do you know about investing that makes you better than Vanguard with its strategy?

When you put it like that, it does sound like a silly question. Thank you.
