so buying a new build property via Halifax sent for valuation and Colleys threw it back apparently they had done a valuation on same site last year and they said builders warranty not excepted (ABC+) but it's on Halifax's list of recommended warranty's at the moment is this a new addition or have they stopped and not updated website.

As you suggest, the Council of Mortgage Lender's Handbook suggests that Halifax will accept an ABC+ warranty.
    See: https://www.cml.org.uk/lenders-handbook/englandandwales/question-list/1913/

But the fact that some other lenders don't seem accept it would also worry me. When reselling the property, some buyers might not want to proceed, if their preferred lender won't accept ABC+.
