Letter of Claim - what to do? 14th May 18 at 5:30 PM
Iíve received a Letter of Claim from a firm representing Excel Parking Services saying theyíll take out a CCJ unless I pay £160 or submit a response within the next 30 days, any suggestions what I should do?

I wrote to them initially to tell them I wasnít paying cause the charge was disproportionate as well as the particular reason I didnít pay, but havenít appealed to POPLA.

You couldn't have appealed to POPLA, Excel are not in the BPA.

They can't ''take out a CCJ''!

You do what all other posters with the same letter do, and read the NEWBIES thread post #2, and adapt a reply letter. NOT filling in the reply forms.

You will get a court claim and as long as you come back here and don't try to argue that the charge is 'disproportionate' - and DON'T TELL THEM WHO WAS DRIVING - you will likely win.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT UNLESS IN SCOTLAND OR NI

read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread near the top of this forum

if you were able to have appealed to popla, then this must be an old pcn before EXCEL moved to the IPC , so a few years ago since the incident I assume ?

Private Parking ticket? check the 2 sticky threads by coupon-mad and crabman in the Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking Board forum for the latest advice or maybe try pepipoo or C.A.G. or legal beagles forums if you need legal advice as well because this parking forum is not about debt collectors or legal matters per se
