PPI Request Failure 14th May 18 at 2:59 PM
Hi, I'm new to this forum and recently I used one of the forms provided by this site to request PPI refund from Santander. Years ago, from around the year 2000, I had several storecards including BHS, Debenhams, Burton and Dorothy Perkins. I believe they are linked to Santander. I remember I had PPI for most if not all these cards but for a short time, a few months I think, because eventually I realised what they were and they did not apply to me because I wasn't in paid employment. So I had them cancelled but not before paying for a few months at least. However I do not have any account info at all and although I haven't kept any paperwork or statements,I sent out the form to Santander anyway.
I received a letter from Santander today stating that they cannot help me as I cannot provide account numbers "quoted in full".
Am I wasting my time? Should I approach a PPI Reclaim Company?
    All help appreciated. Thanks.

Only if you want to pay them a fee for wasting their time on an already open complaint. They don't have your account information and will ask you to provide it.

If neither you nor Santander have details, you have nowhere to go.

If neither you nor the Bank can identify the account your complaint is over, I'm afraid.

As per above but also, cancelling the policy activates the 3 year time bar on complaints, 6 year will also apply so a complaint may well be rejected anyway
