The once a year Guilty Pleasure thread - IT'S EUROVISION NIGHT!! 12th May 18 at 3:33 PM
I'm surprised that there isn't a Eurovision Song Contest thread popped up already on here, so I thought I'd start one.
I've already stocked up on 'pop' and crisps, etc.
Norton will be on mute, and Ken Bruce will be talking through my headphones.
Anyway, I don't care who wins (think Israel has a good shout though), 'cos we don't have a snowball's of winning. But it will be interesting to see who in Europe still hasn't forgiven us for voting out, and who still hates us for just about everything else.
See you all in a couple of hours

I don't know that it will be the same after the public vote though. But it's still a better song than the one we sent, and we rejected it.

They don't like us. It's been obvious for a long time.
We ought to threaten to stop paying for some of this. They would take us more seriously.

I know that we don't want to win. But at least give us a bit of respect.
I think it's time to consider keeping our money, and battle it out in the semi finals.
Right, same time next year folks??

As a result people have been playing the song for weeks, they are often in the charts and then get played in adjacent countries. Sending has beens is not the answer. If we sent Ed Sheeran we'd do much better. If we sent Robbie Williams, possibly not so much.
