The once a year Guilty Pleasure thread - IT'S EUROVISION NIGHT!! 12th May 18 at 3:33 PM
I'm surprised that there isn't a Eurovision Song Contest thread popped up already on here, so I thought I'd start one.
I've already stocked up on 'pop' and crisps, etc.
Norton will be on mute, and Ken Bruce will be talking through my headphones.
Anyway, I don't care who wins (think Israel has a good shout though), 'cos we don't have a snowball's of winning. But it will be interesting to see who in Europe still hasn't forgiven us for voting out, and who still hates us for just about everything else.
See you all in a couple of hours

Well I shall have to look up the result in the morning ... I have a really early start tomorrow.
I haven't a clue whos going to win that.

For some reason, I thought there were about 8 more songs.
    It certainly felt like it....

I'm sure I heard the word 'Illuminati' in the Italian song at one point - they'll be lucky to make it out the building alive

I don't think I can stand the interminable voting without losing the will to live. May pop back towards the end to see what's happening.

Actually, the word is very commonly used in Italian. It means "lit", as in lit streets. or a lit room. Illuminare, means, well, illuminate - both with physical light or metaphorically.

Cyprus or Israel for the win.

    Honourable mentions to
    Germany
    Albania
    Hungary

lots of middle-of-the boards including Austria, UK, Netherlands, Australia, France, Denmark, Moldova (for the cheese factor).

I will be here for the voting, ooh the suspense is killing me .

I had a bet on a Song that was on before SuRie. I think there is a real risk that nothing before is remembered.
