Room in roof insulation 12th May 18 at 2:12 PM
I have had company come to the door offering free insulation for dormer bungalows like ours in our a rea. Has anyone had this done. It's apparently called room in roof insulation and is totally free under the government eco scheme.
Is this true or is it just a company cold calling and trying to get me to have it done through them. The company that called was Insul8 energy limited.

A quick google seems to show this falls under ECO. So worth checking around.

Yes I'm wondering about checking it out tomorrow with my energy company rather than someone who has knocked at the door. I couldn't find anything on EDF website about, so will try a phone call to them. Thanks.

A year or two back I looked at this via British Gas, and as soon as they found out it wasn't going to be a simple case of rolling out a few layers of insulation, they didn't want to know.

If it's a cold call, likely to be a scam.

Yes I'm not keen on taking up on anything with cold callers but it does seem to be a government scheme done for free, so I would like to pursue it further if I can find the tight company to come and check it out for us. Thanks
