I thought I would ask and see if any of you know the answer to this as google has turned up nothing :-/

Does anyone know of a tool that can restrict your internet to a selected speed so you can see what it is like? Say, the minimal speed of internet is listed as 1mb in a place but I do not know what that is like, sure, if searched it says you can do this and do that but not do this or that etc.. I would like to see or experience it to know.

You can't have looked too far:-

Tends to be towards limiting it per application but it is possible.
