    Parking Eye Count Claim Form

Parking Eye Count Claim Form 9th May 18 at 11:23 PM
    Hiya,

I've arrived home today to a claim form from parking eye allegedly for 15 parking charges at a cost of 1395.

I'm completely lost with what to do with this - I have had no correspondence through the post for any of these alleged overstays, and was not aware it was parking eye or there was a time limit on stays.

The camera has apparently been been taken down from the retail park after i spoke with the only remaining retailer (the rest of the shops have been closed down)

I'm assuming that the letters have been sent to the wrong address? I live at 33a but there is also a 33 and 33b? or do they just not send letters?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

Is your car registered at your current address?
Was it registered at your current address at the times of the alleged parking incidents?

Have you thought about asking your neighbours at 33 and 33b if they have any mail about these incidents?

Read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread, do the EASY AOS online then show us the defence you put together this month. We will assist once we see your defence (just like any other). Most here win!

The car is registered at my current address.

I have spoke with the neighbors at 33 who have said no mail has been sent there. The property at 33b did not have any occupiers, over the last 2 months it has been renovated and rented out.

I looked at the carpark on Friday. There is no signage. I'm assuming this may be because the cameras have now been removed? However since this is the first i'm hearing about this claim i've not seen any evidence i shouldn't have been parked there.

how it is now isnt really relevant as these are historical claims

if you cannot get recent photos of the signs , then you may have to try for historical ones

at this moment in time you need to have done that AOS and concentrate on your defence like CM told you to do

the evidence stage comes much later in the process and you will get to see those pictures etc in due course

you could complete a SAR on PE anyway, but maybe wait until after the 25th when the new DPA comes into force (so get on with drafting your defence , did I mention that ? and did CM mention that ? )

you can worry about the whys and wherefores later , for now its a defence you need (and confirm to us that the AOS online has been completed according to those walkthroughs)

They often have several years' worth of data.

Have you searched the forum for other incidents at this place?

ParkingEye are almost guaranteed to take court action, especially for such a large sum.

You need to try harder to gather evidence.

Does google images show any appropriate signs?

I've found nothing on google or this site for similar problems - It was at Manningham retail park.

However there is a few of my colleagues in similar positions, we moved offices and all started parking there.

Google images shows a 2 hour max stay. Nothing to say it is monitored by parking eye tho?

I checked land registry and contacted the owners who is now JD gym (since March 2017) who are also looking into it. Fortunately i am a member of the gym at the retail park but these alleged parking fines occurred before it opened in December 2017 - so i'm not sure if there is anything they will be able to do
