that's it really. Just wondered what would cause this? am I missing something obvious?

there's no cashback to confuse matters.

You have manually set an end date of under 12 months for your tariff and it is still available ?

You have mistakenly input the wrong variant of your current tariff ?

thanks for the guesses. I thought those too but -

I have input the correct tariff -Tonik v17

I have set the end date to exactly 12 months from today.

If you are already on the v17 tariff then your end date would probably be 12 months from when you started it, so wont be exactly 12 monthsfrom today's date - when was that?.

The comparison site would calculate that you would be moved onto the suppliers SVT at the end of your current contract which may mean that you'd have several months at a higher rate - that's why it thinks you'll make a saving.
