I think i'm about to go on holiday to a building site, what can i do? 9th May 18 at 3:46 PM
    hi all,

I've received credible intelligence that the holiday i'm about to go on is not yet built, and looks extremely unlikely to be built by the time I travel.

The holiday is with TUI who have form for allowing holidaymakers to go to hotels which are construction zones, and not giving proper compensation (e.g. voucher refunds rather than cash etc)

I don't leave for 3 weeks. Assuming when I get there it is uninhabitable, what should I do? What rights do I have for a refund / flight back to be arranged?

I paid by credit card, it cost >100 and I took the highest level of travel insurance I could find.

    thanks in advance

What is the name of the hotel, where is it? If they have "form" for booking unbuilt hotels then why did you book with them before checking?

If you have credible intelligence, then would you not share it with TUI before departure and seek a solution now, rather than get there and find that you're completely stuffed?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I can!!!8217;t believe that even Tui would send anyone to an unfinished hotel.

I have a break booked with them for June and I was notified months ago that the onsite spa was closed for refurbishment whilst we are there. Not something that hugely impacts me but they were keen to inform me.

Where did this !!!8220;credible intelligence!!!8221; come from?
