Not strictly a gardening question but figured someone here would know!

On Monday went somewhere with lots of these caterpillars, but did my best to avoid them... this morning I've got many very itchy raised red spots mostly on my hands, arms and legs, but also chest, face, basically all the exposed areas.

Does this delayed reaction sound like it could be caused by the caterpillars? I thought it would be an immediate reaction? No idea what it could be otherwise. I've not worn the same clothes as I wore to the beach.

    Yes, absolutely, it could be.

It's worth calling the NHS advice line or visiting your pharmacist to have them give you medical advice, as we can't advise you to take antihistamines/cheap hay fever tablet, put calamine lotion on and see your GP if you experience any wheeziness or it doesn't clear up in the next couple of days
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
