Avios vs BA Executive club 2nd May 18 at 2:44 PM
Avios offered to switch my account to BA Executive club
I cant see what the advantages would be since I would probable never make enough flights to go above the Blue level
When I try to see what I can spend Avios on BA Exec wont let me see without joining
I wish I'd never saved Avios in =the first place but I now have 35,000 to spend
Can anyone advise what is the best choice with the most advantages?
It doesn't have to be only flights

Avios is closing, the points still remain the same. Avios.com was just a website where you could book flights with other carriers..i.e aer Lingus, Flybe. Register with BAEC and use your miles for euro redemptions

best flight deals are European - where taxes and other charges are only 35

or use them for long haul business class Ive got return to San Francisco premium out and club world back for 550 as opposed to normal cost 3k

worst deals are long haul economy - sometimes the taxes and charges are higher than you can buy a seat for

oh and level ie blue, silver, gold is entirely separate

Iberia. Though I'm not sure if you can go from AVIOS.com to Iberia direct.
You may have to go from BA Exc

AVIOS flights with a LOT cheaper taxes.

However you wil not be able to get the Reward Flight savers.

And TBHO it doesn't really matter where the AVIOS are stored.

They can be used on many partner airlines.

We use them in BAEC for the Reward Flights. 70 return for the two of us from Gatwick to Tenerife in Sept which includes hold baggage and carry on bags. Bargain

We use the RFS for flights during summer holidays, even though we have to get to LGW from Manchester , which is a right pain, still one heck of a saving

Did Crete last year & Dubrovnik this August
Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA

I've used for many flights to Europe for 35 return. Also have flights booked from Bristol to Majorca later in the year. This is much nearer for us than London.

Hope they decide to keep these weekend routes from regional airports in the summer.

I've also booked Malaga flights from Bristol rather than London for June.
