Black and Decker Strimmer GL 565. Removing Spool 17th Apr 18 at 6:19 PM
I am experiencing difficulties replacing my spool and line on the Black and Decker GL565 strimmer. The old one will not budge.,I want to remove it and put the new one in. Is there a knack or are there any specific instructions that someone could give me to help. It will be greatly appreciated.

Similar to one I used to have. Do you have the manual ? If not it's here:

    https://www.2helpu.com/PDMSDocuments/EU/Docs/docpdf/gl555_uk.pdf

MAKE SURE IT'S UNPLUGGED !!!! (sorry for shouting)

Scroll down to page 9 - there's an exploded view of the strimmer
At the bottom of the page, see part 115 - squeeze those two tabs in to be able to remove the reel (part 104)

Let us know how you go on. If you have numb fingers like me, getting the reel back on without the line unspooling can be tricky
