Round your middle 17th Apr 18 at 11:17 AM
Apparently the measurement round your middle should be the same or less than half your height.

I am a great big fatty and miss out by 5 inches

    Who says that?
If you are really short then its going to be hard to get that calculation right and I am guessing if you are over 6 foot then its fairly easy to be less than half.
Quick maths to calculate height to inches...
Double my waist is 6 inches less than my height. If I'd been taller it would have been better lol... damn being short.

Sounds about right in my case. I have a BMI in the high 20s and a waist size 2 inches bigger than half my height, if I lost enough weight to take me down to a BMI of 25 my waist measurement probably would drop a couple of inches.

This actually has just reminded me of yesterday. I was at a meeting at uni for work and was staggered by how many of the students there were clearly well overweight!
I don't ever remember there being there ever being many overweight people at that university when I was there as a student (And I am talking less than 20 years ago)

Going by my middle then, I should be around Seven Feet and Ten Inches tall.
I'm Five Feet Ten, so will continue with the diet.

I was very smugly recording my birthday weight, 31lbs lighter than two years ago, and my waist measurement, 10 inches less.

Now it is considerably less than half my height, from looking as if I was six months gone.

    So doing this in reverse, I'm 5ft 4in tall = 64 inches

So my waist should be 32 inches or less.

    Hmmmmmm.

Somebody needs to tell my waist
