Birmingham Airport Fine - Help Please. 17th Apr 18 at 10:55 AM
    Hi All,
Not a new user but my old account just doesn't seem to be working now, have no idea why.

Any how, i have read the newbies thread but feel i don't have to correct information for my circumstances, i apologies if it was in there.

I have had 2 PCN's through for the same thing for two different cars, a company car and a private car whereby friends used the cars to collect us from B'ham airport. The PCNs are from APOCA parking, and show number plates and have come through the post in the owners name. The cars were parked for about 2 mins in the hotel drop off and collect layby. They arrived one by one so did not block or cause any issues.

Any idea's if i have to pay these, it seems really unfair. Or can i appeal?

    Thanks in advance.

Why do you think the FAQ advice is incorrect?

Follow the advice there - note there is a section for company car drivers to follow

Second Q & A in the NEWBIES thread:
Q - ''I have read the NEWBIES thread but cannot find anything specific to my case...my case is different''.

A - NO IT ISN'T. YOU DO NOT NEED SPECIFICS. FORGET THE DETAIL, MOST CASES ARE ALL THE SAME.
We beat APCOA 100% of the time and will not lose one, using our advice (can't lose).

If this is APCOA at an Airport, you win merely by following the templates and YOU WILL POSSIBLY LOSE if you say who was driving. Your choice! This is one of the easiest!
PRIVATE PCN? DON'T PAY BUT DO NOT IGNORE IT TWO Clicks needed for advice:
Top of the page: Home>>Forums>Household & Travel>Motoring>Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking - read the 'NEWBIES' FAQS thread!
Advice to ignore is WRONG, unless in Scotland/NI.

I had another read, and distinguished for both cars i just need to appeal online with the "Template appeal for BPA or IPC members - copy this wording into the online appeal box:"
At the bottom of the letter i just enter my name and address as the keeper not the driver.

If i have this wrong please let me know.

    Thanks again.

Yes, name and postal address at the bottom (unless it's an online portal page where you already put an address in, no need to repeat it if so).
