State Pension and Class 2 NIC - is it enough? 16th Apr 18 at 3:08 PM
I have taken early retirement at 61, my State Pension forecast says I need to contribute NIC until my State Pension Age to get my full forecast amount ( as I was contracted out). I am now self-employed writing educational textbooks earning a small amount so can pay Class 2 NIC voluntarily. Will this type of National Insurance payment be sufficient to get my full forecast amount- can anyone tell me?

Yes they count towards the SP but class 2 will be ending in April 2019 so you will need to pay class 3 after that.
