Santander Mortgage Advise 16th Apr 18 at 12:05 PM
    Hi,

We have applied for a mortgage with Santander. We have a dip with them and have started the formal process. My husband and I have good credit score (his perfect 999) mine a 996 on money saving credit club. I have been asked to submit either my child tax credit letter or 3 months bank statements. Unfortunately I can't find my tax credit letter and have been told it will take two-three weeks for a new one to arrive with me. If I submit my three month statements the bank statements it will show 6 weeks where I am in my overdraft (now completely out of it haven't been in it since) . Will this mean we will be rejected. I have a credit card but the balance has beeen cleared and we have no loans. My husband uses his credit card but clears it fully at the end of every month. We have no other debt. Sorry we've moved quicker than we thought when we started looking at houses. Any advise would be appreciated x

I should also say it was an authorised overdraft

Doesn't the overdraft show on your credit report?

Should also mention our LTWi be with at least a 15-18% deposit and looking like a 35 year mortgage with 5 year fixed rate

Honestly you need to speak to a broker,

This all sounds abit messy to me. You should have 3 months of good conduct bank statements as a base for any application.

Speak to a broker (it should be free to at least look at your case) they will tell you where to begin. I know Santander are a very fussy lender as high street lenders go
