Miami Airport Taxi transfers 15th Apr 18 at 2:06 PM
Hi all, we are a party of 6 adults who are staying in Miami overnight before going on a cruise. We need taxi transfers from airport to hotel then hotel to dock then dock to airport on return. Can anyone recommend a taxi transfer company. Have been looking at using Hoppa but just wondered if anyone knew of a reliable firm to use. Thanks in advance for any help.

We used the Hoppa to get to Miami and super shuttle to get back.

Bus was packed but cheap, shuttle on time and friendly.

We just got the hotel to call a cab for us, it arrived within minutes. When we got off the ship there was a cab rank immediately as you came off.

There is a taxi rank at the airport. If you are delayed and have pre booked it might be an issue. We were delayed over an hour going back, stuck on the tarmac as the baggage handlers had issues loading the bags.

Hope you are not flying with Thomas Cook, we did and the entertainment system was down both ways, so 9 hours without entertainment! It didn't bother me, as I always read, but lots of others including our sons were really irate. Apparently, it is a regular issue on the TC flights but they pass it off as something that has 'just' happened. My sons complained and were compensated to the tune of 200.

You can order a large Uber when you have your luggage using their app on your phone. You cant book in advance, only when you are ready. It will cost you way less than the rip off cabs in Miami and be with you within minutes. The pickup point is right outside the luggage carousels.
We only use Uber or Lyft when we are in the US, NEVER cabs.
Book a hotel that does free transfers to the port terminal, then again book an Uber when you are ready to leave the ship.
Use my code andyy9 when you sign up and your first trip is free.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
