Large unrecognised payment?? 13th Apr 18 at 1:18 PM
I was just going through my bank account online when I saw a payment for 385.16 to

    BRI*[daughter's name]USA as a merchant voucher.

I rang Barclays and they said this could not be treated as fraud as it was a REPEAT payment. They looked and the same time last year I paid 12-75 to the same reference. I have stopped any future payments to whatever that reference is.

My adult daughter has her own business account with Barclays and is extremely good with paperwork.

We cannot find any information on goods or services for either amount and for any USA company with BRI* as a reference in any of our emails or paperwork. Barclays say I have the same company information as them.

If I had bought a 12-75 gift it would normally be Amazon or Ebay anyway.

Barclays suggested it could be a subscription of some sort?

Apparently my only hope of recovering the money is to wait 20 days and then claim non receipt of good or services?

Any advice welcomed on this situation (also any thoughts on that particular company please)?

    TIA

    An extremely worried Vigman

    OOOOOKAY!

It is a three year advance payment for web hosting services and .com renewals!

The company had not changed the card details to hers as requested so the card I used in 2015 was automatically used.

I didn't get receipts (and she just has this afternoon) as everything else had been moved over to her name!

    Phew.....
