MyParkingCharge, Excel Parking and Company Car 12th Apr 18 at 10:33 PM
    Hello parking forumites.
I am new to this because I found a MyParkingCharge ticket on my car parked in Nottingham on Monday. The time was paid up OK but the car was parked slightly over the line - but it was the end of the row so was not obstructing any other space. So no reason to pay 60!
I have read the Newbies thread and other relevant posts, and I get the "wait until you get the Notice To Keeper" approach.
But I can't find confirmation of the best action for my circumstances:
    - The car park is run by Excel parking
    - This is a company car, so I am not the registered keeper
Please advise if I should still just wait? Or should I contact either MyParkingCharge or Excel now using the letter template declining to pay?
    Thank you.

read the bottom of post #1 where company cars are clearly dealt with and read the edna basher notes and links too , especially about deflecting them away from the leasing company

remove any hint of who was driving in your last post, dont do their job for them

Private Parking ticket? check the 2 sticky threads by coupon-mad and crabman in the Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking Board forum for the latest advice or maybe try pepipoo or C.A.G. or legal beagles forums if you need legal advice as well because this parking forum is not about debt collectors or legal matters per se

You are best advised to read post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

In there, towards the bottom, is a section headed:

Well worth reading in your case.

Thanks Redx and KeithP - sorry I must have missed that part of Post #1. I will come back only if I am still not clear on what to do next. Thanks.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Certainly do NOT wait for a NTK.

They might get the lease firm's data from the DVLA this week, so do the appeal NOW. Immediately Monday morning.

You want to stop them getting the data, and you MUST warn your Fleet Manager and/or lease firm NOT to pay it and instead, to reply to any letter TRANSFERRING LIABILITY TO YOU. Do that now and INSIST the Fleet managers do not get this wrong, they MUST transfer liability if they get a letter shortly, which they might well do.
