Empty house insurance companies 12th Apr 18 at 3:15 PM
Sadly my mum recently passed, so now her home is empty. We call in frequently but are waiting for probate to be granted before we can sell

Can anyone recommend an insurance company please. I've looked on internet but have never heard of any of them x

    Thanks for reading xxx

Ring the current insurer and advise them of the change.
They should agree to continue cover but maybe at higher cost and maybe with some risks excluded eg escape of water.
If you need a new policy then use an online comparison site but state property vacant for over 30 days or whatever. You will get some quotes that way.

Sorry to hear that. We use Vasek or U-Sure for unoccupied properties. I would suggest using a local broker to give you extra protection and explain the policies to you.
