Courtesy car accident 12th Apr 18 at 10:52 AM
I was loaned a courtesy car while my car was having a service. Another driver rear-ended the courtesy car as I was stopping for traffic. There was damage to both cars, but not serious. My garage charged me 500 excess. Can I claim this back? I assumed that my garage would claim it back as part of their insurance claim, but I'm not sure.

Claim it off the driver who hit you?

You will have agreed to pay this excess when signing for the car.

So it will be down to you to pursue the third party insurer for reimbursement

You will need to disclose this claim in your claims history to your current insurer and others you approach for quotes in the future
