Experian Report, settled and closed account but showing as balance 11th Apr 18 at 9:54 PM
    Hi

I have an excellent experian score of 988 however when looking at the detailed report I noticed that's one of my pay day loan accounts (I stupidly took one out last year), is showing under 'settled' but is still showing a balance!

All amounts have a green tick next to them which indicates that they were paid on time but there is a balance still showing!!

    Can anyone advise?

Yes. You will not get a mortgage because you were stupid to take a pay day loan. Your credit cards will be affected and your overdraft will be recalled by end of this week.

I would change bank now because you will never get another chance!

    And pigs also fly!

    1. If there are discrepancies on your credit files, dispute them with the CRA.

    2. Never take another payday loan.

    3. Never think that your credit score is real.

Yes, i will never take one again! I'm just confused as to why it is shown as settled and why the supposed balance has a green tick (which means payments up to date)...

Maybe they aren't reporting it to the CRA correctly.

    Contact them and ask
