Parking charge notice anyone help or can offer advice 10th Apr 18 at 3:20 PM
So this is my first time receiving a parking fine from a private company (uk car park management) and I need some advice.
The person used a private car regularly for several months and had no problems with doing so, however it recently started being managed by a private car parking company which stated that if you would be fined 100 for unauthorised parking.
The person parked there anyway..... as they always had.

I have now received a PCN stating that I need to pay 100, however the evidence they have provided is an mobile device image rather than cctv footage.
The image has a date and time in the top left hand corner, this time and date is referred too in the letter they have sent me.

The time which has been shown in both the image and stated in the letter at 12.31pm but the person had already left the car park 30 minutes prior to this!????

I have read the forum about how to go about dealing with PCN's but don't really understand the process

can anyone offer some advice on what to do next in regards to either appealing to the fact that the evidence they've sent me is clearly wrong or fake or to just ignored the letter?

You need to concentrate on just the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum

You are guided there step by step and given s template appeal to copy and paste!

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving

You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving

The ppcs monitor this forum and can use your posts against you

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

I have read the newbies post which states to appeal using the template given, do you think I should mention that the time displayed on the image is incorrect as the it was not possible for the car to be parked there at that time????

no , just use the template "as is"

they will refuse it anyway, so you are then in IGNORE mode unless they issue a formal LBC or an MCOL within 6 years

nothing you can tell them will get them to cancel this pcn

in future, the driver should not park there without permission

Private Parking ticket? check the 2 sticky threads by coupon-mad and crabman in the Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking Board forum for the latest advice or maybe try pepipoo or C.A.G. or legal beagles forums if you need legal advice as well because this parking forum is not about debt collectors or legal matters per se

No appeal will get it cancelled so whatever you send them, it makes no odds, no need to add stuff.
