Just recently purchased a Hoover Dynamic Next W/M and noticed that the delay timer was inaccurate (5 minutes in one hour up to 45 minutes in 9 hours) and sent a speculative "Contact Us" form on Saturday asking for help, advice, guidance. Was surprised and delighted to receive a phone call from Hoover Sunday afternoon saying they would send one of their engineers to have a "look" as it might be the module (delay module presumably) that is faulty. Brilliant service from Hoover.

a delay timer would be pretty pointless on a vacume cleaner so its pretty obvious that it was a washing machine.

    Update: -
Well, the first engineer came, reprogrammed it without having to take the top off (used his phone). No different, second engineer came, took top off, ordered new main board, third engineer came, fitted new board - it was slightly different in that it had an additional socket. It seemed to work in that the W/M did a wash but a worse fault than the original board in that when delay timer was used, it didn't do anything after timer expired.

Contacted Hoover who said they would give an authorisation code to the supplier. Machine delivered and installed yesterday. Just tried the delay timer and it is unsurprisingly 4 minutes out in one hour. Will try a 2 hour delay tomorrow!

Praise for Hoover for reacting and agreeing to supply a new machine, praise for AO.com for supplying new machine quickly against the authorisation code but Yah Boo Sucks and vent to Hoover for supplying two machines on the trot with the same fault.

Candy products are not up to much: a better option at the budget end would be a cheaper Bosch or even Beko.

Sent second Hoover back and have replaced it with a Bosch. Slightly more expensive than the Hoover but did a deal with AO due to all the messing about I've had. New machine is quieter and the Delay Start is in a different format, much easier to set.

No quibble from Hoover about sending engineers, control boards and replacement machines at no cost to me - shame they sell (slightly) dysfunctional machines.

Praise for AO.com who reacted correctly and sent out replacement machine next day each time.
