Debt free living and looking to the future. 23rd Mar 18 at 1:35 PM
    Happy new diary.

I decided that my last diary had become depressing and negative, so here I am shiny new diary, positive outlook and ready to take on the world. I woke up this morning feeling good which is something that hasn't happened for a while, did 30 mins of yoga which left me feeling energised and ready for the day, I also took some time to think about what is good in life and all the positives.

So anyone reading my last diary will know i'm now debt free, not going into the details of how as its all in my last diary, but I do now want to focus on staying out of debt and saving for the future, being thrifty and enjoy my family before they grow and fly the nest. I did think of posting new diary on savings board, but I love the debt free board as everyone is so helpful and positive.

So this is the first day of the new positive me......

At least you know where you are with finances and can cut back in some areas. Could the haircut wait another month? Good luck with it anyway

    Morning.

It's raining cats and dogs here so looks like I won't be pegging out, will just wash one load and put it to dry on the airer, trying so hard to not use tumble dryer.

I have a couple of ebay items ending this morning which currently have bids up to 10, few more items to list as well. Not much planned for today other than housework, DD was supposed to be going on a nice long ride on the beach but nit sure if she will want to go in this weather, must also ring friend for a catch up.
Taken sausages out of the freezer for tea which we will have with mash and veg, lunch is cheese toastie and fruit and breakfast is just cereal this morning, found some mince pies in the freezer so have taken those out to snack on.

Made 12 on ebay this morning and have listed 10 items.

Received 20 M&S gift card in the post this morning, which I will use to get milk, bread and maybe a meal deal if they are on this weekend.

Morning, bright sunshine this morning fingers crossed it lasts and isn't bucketing it down by the time the washer finishes.

10 made over night on ebay and managed to get caught up with surveys yesterday so made a few more pennies.

DS is off out with friends today to a Theme park, I had told him I wasn't paying as I had just paid a huge amount for his school trip, anyway he decided to use some money that his Great Grandma had given him for Easter to pay for his ticket and his Dad has given him some money for lunch, he also has his allowance, think it is good for him to make choices about money and having to pay for things himself, I just need to drop him at his friends in an hour.
DD is at work today and is buzzing as she has just had a payrise and is wanting as many hours as possible during the holidays .
Couple of small spends today on fuel for car and need some milk and potatoes, making a cheesy leek and potato bake for tea, lunch will be whatever is lurking in the fridge or tinned tomato soup.
I also need to go and pick up prescription from chemist, but I get these free as they are cancer prevention drugs.

Have more bits to list on ebay this afternoon and bids are up to 25 on the things that are already listed, nothing finishing until the weekend so hopefully will make a bit more.

    To do today
    Finances
    ebay listing.
Washing, hopefully will stay bright and can do DS bedding.
    surveys
    yoga at some point.

Morning, wow yesterdays weather was awesome, I managed to get 2 loads of washing dried on the line and I washed some wool jumpers which I dried on the airer outside, looks a little overcast this morning but hopefully will stay dry and I can pegout again.
Dropped DS off at his friends and then nipped to a1di and spent 4.48.

Managed to list another 6 items on ebay yesterday and bids are up to 40 and most items don't finish for another 3 days, there is a few BINs on as well which might give me some sales sooner.
Also redeemed 8 from a survey site.

This morning i'm off for my haircut, I know I probably shouldn't but it's messy and it makes me feel good, I have dyed it myself at home so at least i'm not paying for that.

Still eating out of the freezer, rst pork for tea tonight, lunch will be left over potato bake from last night or soup and breakfast is cereal, have done a meal plan for next week just need to write a shopping list.

Sounds like you are having a very productive week Penny. Don!!!8217;t feel guilty for getting your hair done, we all deserve to feel good and sometimes that far outweighs the cost of the haircut.

Morning. New haircut looks fab and she cut loads off so feels much lighter.

Apart from nipping to a friends this morning for coffee and a catch up not much happening, both children have been told to clean their rooms and DH is waiting in for someone picking up an item he sold on ebay, need to find something out of the freezer for tea as i'm not going shopping until tomorrow as DS has a football match and will be driving past supermarket.

Finances checked and 8 from survey site has hit paypa1, no sales on ebay or me but plenty of bids and watchers for things ending in a few days time, have a couple more bits to list this afternoon as well.

    Afternoon,

Spent this morning listing items on ebay, couple more bids today and quite a fe bits ending tomorrow so fingers crossed to making a few quid.

Dh has been at work today for his mate but won't be paid for that until next month as DH does his invoices at the end of each month but at least we know its some extra money to come. I took DS to football and the weather stayed fine, god to get some fresh air. On way home I poped into M&S and used 20 voucher on a meal deal, southern fried chicken tenders which where on offer 3 packs for 10 and 2 packs of bacon as I had a voucher on my sparks card for 2 packs for 4 so total spend was 4, then went to Mr S as I had a voucher for 9 off a 60 spend, had made a shopping list and checked prices on line and it came to 52.67 after voucher so pleased I stayed in budget.

Lazy evening planned just tea to make and then glass of vino and TV.

    Morning.

Pottering at home day today, hopefully I can clear some of the clutter that seems to have built up with DC being off school.
First wash is already hung out not sure if it will dry as its quite overcast but got to give it a go and washer is on again, dishwasher is on and woodburner is lit, kept the CH off this morning. Trying to be mindful and do the little things to save the pennies, decided not to wash my hair this morning as i'm not going anywhere so I've popped it in a pony tail, found some sachets of shampoo in a drawer, have put these in small suitcase ready for weekend away, saves taking a big bottle or buying travel size, have a small shower gel bottle that's nearly empty wondering if I can decant some conditioner in it to take away instead of taking a full size bottle.
Crumpets for brekkie this morning as they need eating, lunch will be a pick and mix affair, there is some chicken tenders leftover from last nights tea, so could have those in a wrap with salad, also some cooked meat needs eating and avocados that are just pass there best. Tea tonight is carbonara but DS is having a cheese and tomato pizza as he doesn't like carbonara.

Finances checked and 1 DD has gone out so need to amend my outgoings, also have a few items ending today on ebay some should make a few pounds there.
Must do an hour of paper work at some point and write a thankyou card for a relative that sent us a lovely bundle of Easter treats in the post.

Morning, turned into a bonkers evening on ebay auctions ended and sold and I also sold a few Buy it nows that I had given up on, so total sales for yesterday was just over 60 . Lots of ebay packing to do today, did do some last night which I will drop at the PO this morning as i'm going into city with DD to get DS birthday cards and a couple of small presents as he wants money, money for this has already been saved and put to one side.
Yesterday I also managed to get 4 loads of washing dry on the line airer, did use the dryer for the towels though as I like my towels to be fluffy.
So today the weather is totally different and raining, no washing out today then, will just put a load on the airer inside. I noticed my brown change jar is getting full so I will get some bags from the bank whilst in city and have a count up only holds about 10 but every little helps.

Finances have been checked this morning, I've put 5 on DS lunch account, no DD have gone out and everything seems to be ticking along, can't believe we are a third of the way through the month already. Do need to get some fuel today car light came on yesterday when I dropped DD at work.
Still trying to eat our way through the big freezer, bagels for breakfast, lunch tuna salad sandwich and tea tonight is either pizza or Jkt spuds as everyone except me is out at different times at different activities and i'm not making lots of different meals at various times.

It!!!8217;s an early start for you this morning.

Amazing news on the eBay front, particularly on thr items you thought wouldn!!!8217;t sell.

If you have a NatWest bank in town, check whether they have a coin machine in the branch as it will save you having to bag up your change. OH bagged up 30 in coppers for the children but I ended up tipping them in the coin machine. It!!!8217;s free to use and you get a recipt which you take to the till and get the money in a denomination of your choice.
