Mortgage advise 14th Mar 18 at 5:47 PM
    Hi there, Mike here.

I have been out of the UK for 8 years. My mortgage was with Chelt&Glou via LloydsTsb.
I called them when I was about to leave the country I won't be able to pay my mortgage when I'm gone so I sent them my house keys to take care of things. Now I would love to know what happens to my house and what my rights are?
I'd appreciate your advise please. Many thanks. Cheers

You probably need to get a copy of your credit report to find out when it was sold and paid off/defaulted.

That will determine what your options are.

It was probably sold and proceeds either paid off mortgage or a default showing if insufficient to pay the mortgage off. A credit check on Experian or Noddle May show something. Did you not give them a forwarding address to send correspondence?

In your absence the house would have been sold to settle the outstanding debt.
