    EE account showing as settled

EE account showing as settled 14th Mar 18 at 4:19 PM
I have just found an account on my credit file which is marked as settled. It's an EE account, there was 1 late payment on it but it was quickly paid when I realised and was always paid on time otherwise.

Is it correct that it shows as settled? I thought settled was to show I had partly paid or made a payment agreement to settle the account. Will it being marked as settled have a negative impact and is there anything I can do about it?

Any help would be great. Thanks.

If you paid the outstanding balance in full then it would be marked as settled.

"Settled" is the status of a debt that is repaid without issue, it's "Satisfied" that would indicate a problem (a default.)

The late payment marker will have an impact, although this will lessen over time (and it won't have anywhere near the same impact as a default.)
