UKPC Disabled Bay PCN 14th Mar 18 at 6:02 AM
Hi all, I received a PCN for parking in a disabled bay a few months back from UKPC which I have been ignoring since. I've just received a Zenith collections 'notice of debt recovery assignment' letter and after googling that, I realise ignoring the letters is old advice and shouldn't be followed anymore. I understand Zenith is just another name under DRP who I also received a letter from.
I'm just wondering where I stand at this current moment in time?
    Thank you

You really are now in ignore and wait and see mode, you may get a court claim from UKPC, it won't come from DRP or Zenith though, so for goodness sake ignore their inflated claims.

Shame you ignored it in the first place though!

    UKC are fraudsters, read this

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11858473/Parking-firm-UKPC-admits-faking-tickets-to-fine-drivers.html

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors..

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They nearly always lose) and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

UKPC do take people to court, so you could make a late appeal using the template, adding that an occupant of the car was disabled, and attach a copy of said badge.
It will no doubt be rejected, but will stand you in better stead should this go to court.

Please do complain to your MP.
