If I apply for a replacement driving licence, how long does it take to arrive?

A day longer for every day you delay ....

Seriously, routine replacements take a few days. If there's something odd, who knows?

I had to renew mine just last week. Used the online option whereby they take your photo from your passport. Applied on Saturday, it arrived in the post on Wednesday.

Was a bit miffed to see that the new licence runs from the day they processed it, not from the expiry date of the old licence. OK, it's only a month I've "lost" for something that lasts 10 years ... and it was only 14 ... but still, it's the principle Hey, I'm not called Scrooge for nothing !

As already said, mine took a few days. That was paper to photo as well with all the "proof of existence" stuff.
