    Have Iresa stopped paying interest on credit balances ?

    Reason I ask is that I havent been paid any interest since the start of 2018

    Im with them for electric only

    I am with them for both for a bit longer still my switch goes through. I have been paid interest on both accounts for the end of Jan.

    I've had interest paid on the end of Feb. balance.

    turns out they only pay interest if you give them regular meter readings

    they say without meter readings your balance could be artifiically inflated

    ive left them for solarplicity now anyway due to the recent problems
    (which now look to have been sorted as they are dealing with open tickets very quickly at the moment)

    They appear to calculate the interest before the end of the month ,so if you give them a meter reading on the last day of the month, then you appear to gain a few p extra ,as its calculated before the month's charges are applied
