Ebay item ive sent, not arrived in Spain 11th Mar 18 at 3:51 PM
    Hi all,

I need some advice, the buyer has raised a case on Ebay asking for a refund and its all in Spanish which makes responding on ebay difficult i can translate the page but the web page breaks if i don't then translate it back to spanish before responding.

Anyway, on the tracking number its being held in spain with the message "
    UNDELIVERED ADDRESSEE CANNOT BE LOCATED
    SPAIN AND CANARY ISLANDS"

I printed the address label from the order so its not a hand written error.

not sure what will happen now... frustrations aside. I'm considering just writing off the money and the item and refunding the bloke. Then seeing if i can block Spain as a location to sell too.

Ultimately i would like the guy to get his item, but im also concerned about my feedback, Ive got 2 late delivered items in feedback as from last week.... its all a bit concerning but particularly annoyed that the guy has got his address wrong. And I dont speak spanish..

Without proof of delivery you are unlikely to win an ebay claim for INR, however it might just be worth trying ebay as you have tracking showing it is the buyers address that is possibly the problem.

Well I'm surprised, I requested a phone call from ebay, I explained my issues with the case in spain, and the helpful chap on the other end of the phone reassured me he thinks the case can probably be closed, he has emailed his Spanish colleagues with his advice to close the case and he expects that they will come back with an answer in the next 3 days, which should end in the case being closed as the tracking information is there on the UK site, but its not visible from the spanish ebay site.

He said it was "force majeure" ... I had to look that up for its meaning.

While i was there i asked him about the late delivery feedbacks i had when our post office got snowed in the other week, and he has removed those also...

    Double thumbs up for Ebay...

I will see if it all works out in the next few days... thanks for the advice to contact them..

What does the tracking say? Did the Cs rep say they would close the case or close it in your favour (huge difference). Or was it GSP, in which case your POD to the UK depot is enough.....

Case was closed by the buyer yesterday evening. Turns out the buyer has received the item.

    Thanks for the advice everyone...
