    I've freelanced this week as an event manager. The company I worked for have paid 850 in total. Separately, I earn 28,000 per annum through my full time employers. Do I need to declare the 850 as I have earned no extra income through work outside of my full time job?

    It should be covered by the new 1000 trading allowance.

    ... providing that you've no connection with the events company. This new-this-tax-year allowance has some significant anti-exploitation conditions. There will be some who will fall foul of these - by accident or intent - so have a look at
