Plevin for Credit card 9th Mar 18 at 12:58 AM
    Hi all,

Wonder if you have any advice.

I had a credit card with PPI since 1997. The bank acknowledged it but said I was not mis-sold the insurance. I am certain they never told me it was optional. Regardless, they send me a form to pursue the Plevin route. I sent the form and after a few weeks they came back with an offer. My question is: does this offer seem reasonable. (The offer is for the Plevin, i.e. the over 50%)

    Insurance premium: Around: 650
    Bank's total offer around: 300.

PPI was from 1997 till 2011 say about 14 years in total before I canceled it.

    Thanks all.

It was over 20 years ago. That sort of time period would require evidence. Such as the application form.

The calculation is defined by the regulator. It is what it is.
