Best approach with Sky 8th Mar 18 at 3:02 PM
My wife was housebound with a disability for many years and watched an awful lot of TV. Thus I've had the full package, in my name, for many years and changed to HD last Nov (ish) on 18 month contract. She passed away end of 2017 and, of course, the disability benefits stopped as well. Being semi-retired & working PT the cost (£65 ish) is stretching the finances and I hardly watch TV anyway. Ideally I'd like to cancel completely but would also be OK with a lesser package below £30 ish. How would you approach this problem.

As it seems you are still tied in for at least another year, there is not much you can do. There is nothing to lose by calling them to see if you can downgrade your package though, but also no guarantee they will.

    Good luck.

Haven't Sky just put up their prices. Is this an opportunity to change your contract?

@tommytynan123 Presuming you're not already on the new Entertainment package see if they'll downgrade you to it as they seem determined to move everyone over to it anyway. It won't cost more than £20 although it's another £5 if you want to keep the HD bit. Although it'll tie you to a new 18 month contract you're only 3 or 4 months into this one anyway.

    Doesn't affect the TV package.

Very helpful at Sky. Reverted to ''Entertainment HD'' at £25 on new 18 month contract. Very pleased! Thanks for your comments.
