The right bank account, help 8th Mar 18 at 12:26 PM
    Afternoon all,

I wonder if you can help me, I'm due to receive 25k and I want to open a new bank account to put it in and spend in as and when I please, it would be good to earn interest on this but not sure if there's any out there that can do this.

Does anyone have any thoughts/ideas and what account/bank I should go for as I'm stuck and don't want one where I have to keep paying in each month.

    Thank you

If you want a simple current account, Virgin Money have one that has limited online services but does pay 0.75% on up to 100k so that is 187 on your 25k.

That sounds good although annoying you can't apply online, is that normal?

It would appear so as the information on the link below confirms. The article is from 2015 so note that the 1% has been reduced to 0.75% although the account features look the same.
