Australia becoming a problem according to ebay CS? 8th Mar 18 at 12:12 PM
You have to love ebay customer service, I don't think many of them are 'on message' anymore!

I got a neutral from a buyer in Australia, she is a serial leaver of non positives, about a third of the feedback she leaves is either neg or neutral moaning about all sorts of things, usually speed of delivery.

I contacted ebay pointing out that item was shipped earlier than my listing stated, and also that she mentions product doesn't have something - but that 'thing' is not part of the listing anyway. (it's like saying you buy a coat without a hood and buyer complains there was no hood included).

Firstly they said they can do nothing about the late comment as proof of postage is not the same as proving item was late- even though the delivery was out of my control and I sent the item early. They don't think the comment about the thing not included is grounds for removal either, as I didn't specifically list all the things it doesn't come with, and I should have said (for instance) stylish jacket made of 100% wool with long sleeves and no hood, to cover myself I apparently should also mention that there was no gloves or scarf included either! I argued that the item I sold has item options which the seller can use under the description one of which was 'with a hood' and one without and mine was sold without the 'jacket with hood' box ticked, the photos doesn't show a hood, no hood is mentioned in the listing nor is it implied or hinted at it any of the 12 photos.

As they believe it is a grey area it has gone to a resolution team and I will hear back later. She also said that they are getting a lot of issues with Australian buyers and she for one, along with many of her colleagues, will no longer ship there on their own ebay accounts, and perhaps I might consider blocking Australia. So it's definitely not on message for us all opening up to International sales!

Incidentally- I don't actually sell clothes, the jacket example was merely to avoid getting complicated using the term widget.

I have always found Australia to be one of the more understanding and reliable countries although saying that, in the last 6 months, I have noticed items are taking considerably longer to get their destination. 4 weeks is becoming about the norm.

The good news is that my neutral has been removed, apparently moaning that something wasn't included, when it was clearly not indicated as included in the listing, makes the feedback removable.
