is there a way to avoid or minimize my CGT? 8th Mar 18 at 11:44 AM
I bought some share from the company I am working for 7 years ago and now the big boss put company for sale, and everyone has to sell the share.

Certainly the share worth much more now, Say I can make around 40k profit from the sale and already maxed out my pension contribution (40,000 a year), is there any way to minimize my CGT?

    Many Thanks

Can you clarify - did you have shares in a private company, public company (with shares listed on the FTSE, NASDAQ etc.) or were these share options?
