Birthday Present Ideas for Friend? 5th Mar 18 at 8:08 PM
I'm really trying to think of something a bit different to get my friend for her birthday this week, does anyone have any ideas? What would a lady in her forties really appreciate (I've done all the usual stuff like flowers, smellies, etc)? I'd like to get her something relaxing though, as she's always busy

"Lady in her forties" covers a very broad ramge of people. Does she have any hobbies? What is she interested in?

Flowers, smellies, afternoon tea and inspirational quotes would have given this (ex) lady in her forties the heebie jeebies. Walking gear or a hedge trimmer would have been great. There really isn't a one size fits all answer. You're her friend, you must know something she likes.

How much do you want to spend? That's crucial to know.

Plus, does it have to be sent in the post or given by hand?

Depending on funds, something like a voucher for the suggested pedicure, or a facial would always be appreciated, especially if it's something she doesn't usually do for herself.

Many thanks for all the suggestions. I've decided on a jar of inspirational quotes, I think she'll like that
