    TUI Flight Delay today-6 hours-Weather? 4th Mar 18 at 12:46 PM
Due to fly to Tenerife from Manchester today at 1620 hrs now advised it will be 2245hrs which I guess they will claim is caused by weather. 2 or 3 days ago.

What is the position re compensation?

It depends on the reason for the delay. Nobody in here can say what it is based on the info you've provided.

If you look at Manchester Airport T2 Deps for Thomson then flights are leaving as expected...yours is noted for much later. Take a screen shot to show weather is not an issue at Manchester. Such info might be useful for you later

G-TAWF seems to be the problem.

Thank you I have taken a screen shot for all departures this afternoon showing our flight is the only extensive delay.

Is there a common issue with this plane?

G TAWF is a 737 our plane was due to be a 757?

Son flew back last night from Alicante on a replacement (Dreamliner) plane with a 90 min delay.

Expected departure is still 2245 hrs v original 1625 hrs.

Just wondering how long they can claim 'adverse weather' as a get out after the actual event maybe 3 days ago?

Not as yet but it would be the obvious thing for them to do and other flight delays from other airports are listed on the tui travel infirmation site under the heading snow.

As richardw says, it looks like G-TAWF has gone tec at TFS. It seems to be still there.

If that is the reason you would be due 400Euros each.

Advised delay due to delay in incoming flight from Cape Verde caused by weather backlog last few days. Strange cant see any other delays today here and weather has been fine since Friday.

Measily 10 voucher for min 6 and half hour delay and all shops are shut as our plane is now last out.

    Plane is definitely a 757.

Will defo be putting my claim in. Have done 3 times successfuly before but all with thomas cook. Never experienced anything like this with thomson.

Plot thickens, i reckon the Cape Verde thing is a smoke screen as the flight due in at 2210 tom227 is on time. But a flight from tenerife due in at 5am this morning is not due in till early tomorrow so nearly 24 hours late flight tom2691.

Reckon they have sourced the cape verde plane to replace what would have been the delayed incoming tenerife flight?

I won against BA for an afternoon flight from FLA to LCY that had been delayed due to fog on it's first flight of the day from EDI to LHR.
