    #Make Upto 10 a Day March 2018 # 27th Feb 18 at 10:16 PM
    Hello and welcome everybody

This is the 127th month of this challenge, which was first started by Batgirl, in September 2007. A link here to the original thread as I am sure some of you are interested to read where it all began.

Thanks to Batgirl for starting it, lynnejk and ALL posters, for helping us to keep the thread going. Thanks to previous challengers who used to run this thread too, Rawdinosaur, Emmaglet, Nat21luv, Monkeynut, Sweetpeas, Purpleroses, JesaRose, MizMir.

I have decided to rename this challenge as reading posts, it seems to put people off thinking they HAVE TO make 10 a day.

    You don't.

The original purpose of this challenge was to help people to try and make an extra 10 a day on top of their normal income to help things along. Ie paying off debt, making savings, paying for holidays, overpaying mortgages etc.

That is exactly what this challenge is about, attempting to make extra income on top of your normal income to help you wherever you need it.

People start the challenge by setting a goal of 1 a day. Then when they find they are smashing this regularly, they up it to 5 a day. Some of us gluttons for punishment go for 10 a day. It really is entirely upto you. We only ask you to post what your goal is to help you keep motivated. Some days you make more and some days you make less, but aim for extra at the end of the month.

The idea is that everyone posts how they are making extra money and these shared ideas help all of us to learn new ways to help cut debt or earn/save money.

    What cannot be added:
    Wages from your main job

    What can be added:
    Overtime
    Income from a second job
    Daily clicks
    Interest
    Vouchers
    Mystery shopping
    And much, much more.

This board moves pretty quickly, so be sure to subscribe and read it regularly.

    Link to previous thread.

So who wants to kick 2018 into a financially working for you year?

Join this challenge and let's make those bank accounts fat, mortgages paid off, holidays paid off, savings account grow fatter, debts paid off and much much more!!!

Not sure whether I need to deduct the postage cost from my profit. These stamps were bought so many years ago I've no idea what they cost.

Just stopped in for a natter really.. update on the saga on my life

After starting baby sleep training and starting to make some progress, it has all come to a halt. Baby is going through a major growth spurt and despite eating 3 meals a day, plus milk, plus 3 snacks a day (basically I shove food at him at every opportunity), he still needs to feed once or twice in the night! I have never seen anything like it... how can something so small eat so much! I know he needs it as he properly lost it when I thought I would't give him anything in the night (and he only does that if he's hungry) and I know he is eating more as I have been absolutely starving for the last few days..

On the plus side it meant I was getting a bit more sleep, but now his other 4 teeth are coming through and so the sleep is at an end again and he is tossing and turning and waking me up all night...

Somehow I am just about managing to get a bit of life admin done, have started to make good progress on my spring cleaning before I go back to work full time in April. I have also started to play with the task apps a bit on Mondays when I have more time, so hopefully I will start to see some more from them. Feels like I have done tons of work today, but not really seen much reward for it yet... will log in later with an update on my money making. I hope everyone is doing well this month.

OH posted my eBay parcels for me. I made 14.60 profit. I offer free postage for light, easy to post items as I recently rediscovered a stash of ungummed 2nd class stamps that I bought years ago on eBay. They were destined for postcards for entering competitions which was the main entry route back in the day before smartphones and social media were so popular. You can tell from that how long I've had these stamps. I'd totally forgotten about them and unearthed them during sorting/decluttering. They're still valid though and will save me a mint on posting eBay parcels

Not sure whether I need to deduct the postage cost from my profit. These stamps were bought so many years ago I've no idea what they cost.

do not deduct the postage costs. I don't if I am using the stamps from the postal surveys I do. I never bought them so am not paying postage. As your postage stamps are from long before, they are classed as free now.

Edit: I had a very late eBay sale hence why the post has been edited and after costs and fees it has netted me a profit of 6.90

Distraught tonight. Our 9 yr old cat has been struggling to walk the past few weeks and the vets have struggled to find a reason for it. We had her in at the vets today for a spinal and chest scan, and the spinal scan confirmed she has some extra bone which is putting severe pressure on her nerves, and causing her inability to walk properly. Whilst she isn't making it obvious she is in any pain, the vets advise that she most likely is, and recommend that we make a decision very quickly as to what to do next - either have her put down, or have her referred for an MRI scan and likely spinal surgery. An MRI scan and spinal surgery will likely cost thousands, and we have no pet insurance...daft thing is, I was looking at pet insurance about a month ago, and then this happened. I really don't know what to do. My wife is of the mindset that its a heck of a lot of money for something that's not guaranteed to fix the underlying problem. That saddens me - she's not just a cat, she's OUR cat, and part of the family to me. Money isn't an issue for me, I'd have it paid yesterday if it made her better. I'm more worried about the stress and pain we may cause by prolonging the decision, and even proceeding with the surgery. Oh..and the vet bill today for the xray to go along with the bad news was over 350. Think this is the hardest decision I've ever had to make

Talking of money, I had a good win on the slots this morning. Found a 5 casino bonus in an old account I hadn't used for a while, which required 20x wagering. I ended up walking away with 164 profit

    164.76 - slots
    62.70 - matched betting

    Lots to report today:
    Citizenme 10p
    BeMyEye 13.50
    Roamler 11.27
    MB 41.15

Sat up with a baby with a very high temperature waiting for the Calpol to bring it down. He's finally fallen asleep again cuddled up to my leg, but can't sleep myself until I am satisfied it is going down. I think it's the pesky teeth again causing problems.

Mike that's a horrible decision to make. I love cats and my response to these things is always just to do whatever it takes and never mind the money. It's difficult though when it isn't black and white like this. Hope you work it out.
