    Hey my lovely DFW's,

    I'll be back here as a regular poster soon enough I promise, I'm gonna need you all to help me through this rather rubbish time in my life

    Wee update is that the ex husband (first time I've said that) has a new flat, he came to pick some stuff up yesterday when I was out but might be coming for the rest of it tonight.

    17 years together, 7 years married and at 34 years old that is a significant amount of time to have a person in your life then all of a sudden they are just gone.

    I'm still struggling emotionally right now and have made the decision to move back with my Mum, this will work out great as we get on so well anyway.

    No point both us us living alone 5 minutes from each other, we're gonna keep each other company and split the bills so we are both a bit better off financially

    Will be back soon with some new goals.

    Hey,

    So had another bust weekend trying to get myself settled in my Mums.

    Friday
    Had my new bed delivered and someone in to fix the radiators then me & my Mum went out to try to get some stuff in for my bedroom. Managed to get bedding, throw, cushions, flowers, blind, curtain pole and new curtains - spent quite a bit but will manage to pay for it all with some refunds I am due and survey money I have coming in plus its all gorgeous!!!

    Saturday
    Went shopping to try to get something for my Granny for Mothers Day, managed to pick her up a nice wee cardigan for 16 out of M&S.

    Sunday
    Made my Mum breakfast then asked her what she wanted to do and she chose to clean out some cupboards, 4 cupboards later we went to see my Granny then a wee drive to Luss for some lunch.

    Was a nice wee weekend.

    Feel like I have a never ending list of people to contact due to moving house

    Just phoned O2 there to cancel my Mums mobile broadband cos I have transferred Sky over there.

    From Wednesday I am going to try to call 2 or 3 companies a day until I get them all changed.

    Also have a utility bill in my name for EON so just printed that off and will use that to get a Statutory Declaration to change my name

    You've been so busy Dolly. Hope changing your name is as painless as it can be. You do sound strong.
    Your mum would have loved you being there Sunday helping with the cupboards. If I tried to do that with my mum we would come to blows. So sounds like your relationship is very strong.

    I started reading girl with dragon tattoo that you recommended ages ago but I felt really confused and stupid. I will persevere but it is hard to follow - or maybe I am a bit dim. Will see how I get on. xxx

    I sure have.

    Mum just phoned to say my Uncle didn't manage to finish my room today but he will be back tomorrow to do it so fingers crossed I can sleep in my new gorgeous room tomorrow night!!!

    Ah I hate when I am like that with a book.

    I watched the movie first which I think might have helped a bit.

    Room is gorgeous and so cosy!

    Spent my first night in there last night and didn't sleep too well cos I am still getting used to the house noises and the traffic!

    Soon that will all blend into the background and I won't notice it at all.

    Today I set up my engineer visit for Sky multiroom, I know this is an expense I could do without but I just love my boxsets and I would probably spend more money going to the cinema if I didn't have this. Will be getting fitted on Friday 23rd March. Also my Mum is a soap addict and watches them from about 5pm till about 9pm, cannot deal with that!

    I would get sky if I lived with my mum. I think you need it! I'm going to get a big telly later this year. But they are expensive so need to Do some research.

    If you are at home with films and box sets you're not out spending money or needing to add to wardrobe. I love box sets! Your room sounds great. Makes me think I need to sort mine out. xx

    Wee update from me................
    I'm going to Canada! Middle of June, me and my Mum going over to visit friends for 12 nights.

    Booked the flights and car hire yesterday, could have done without that financially but you know what I deserve a holiday and need something to look forward to so I'm going.

    Been having a wee look to see where we can go when we are over there, the people we are visiting are Scottish so gonna go see some Highland Games - eeeek!

    Can drive to one in the first week we are there in an hour, so excited!!

    Will plan much more in the next few weeks.

    Debt totals updated, time to put a plan in place to get this paid off.

    I have most of it on 0% until March 2019, some of it until May 2019.

    Will aim to have it all gone by then.

    Balance is made up of;

    * 3 year service plan
    * MOT costs
    * Car repairs
    * Car finance PIF
    * Holiday

    Some of the holiday cost is owed to me by my Mum.

    Also going to change the way I make my payments due to being on my own now and having to be more savvy with the funds.

    Will keep all the money in my bank account, spend as little as possible throughout the month then the remaining will use to pay towards the one CC at the end of each month.
