What do I need to be able to use Miracast on my new smart 4K TV?

My DVD player is scart and my new TV does not have a scart socket but does have Miracast, so I thought that I could put the DVDs in my computer and watch them on my TV.

However my computer, Windows 10 pro, does not support Miracast.

Any other way to watch DVDs on my new TV or should I just buy a new DVD player?

You can buy an adapter from scart to hdmi but they are not cheap. I replaced my DVD for not much more but it was a cheap model.

If the DVD player is so old it doesn't have HDMI, don't buy another one, go to BluRay and get the most out of your new 4K.

Andy, Rick Astley singing "Never Gonna Give you up", covers connecting up via Miracast? Or is that link a bit subtle for me?

if you bought a dumb tv and chromecast (18) it would be so easy to cast via plex. having said that you would need to rip the dvd to mp4 first

If it's only got SCART and no HDMI then it must be really old stock. I've not seen a non-HDMI (new) device for years.

    usb memory stick
Most modern tv's support viewing media from a USB memory stick.
You could try copying the files from a DVD on to a stick if you have one (bigger than 4GB) and see if it works.
