    Hi Newbie here, I'm with utility warehouse for my mobile, i have a phone and sim with them. However i do not have any signal where i live and very little when i go out. People cannot call me and texts do not reach me. I've told them about this and their reply was to give me a signal booster femtocell, which they also charged me for and which did little to help either.

    I've now had enough and want to get out of my contract and jump ship to a better provider. But UW is adamant that i would have to pay an early termination fee of 74! I find this outrageous since they have broken the contract by not providing me with the service i paid for!
    I spent most of this morning on the phone to them going round in circles, the guy on the phone seemed to be trying to trap me into saying verbally that if they fix the signal that i will be happy and wil stay with UW? he asked this over and over and kept trying to get me to say this? I didn't BTW
    What are my rights? how do i get out of this contract without paying through the nose?

    Signal isn't part of a gaurantee as many factors affect it - weather, building constructions, maintenance on mobile masts etc.

    So they are right to charge the exit fee to you

    You probably have been introduced by someone you know to this service.
    In UWs case the introducer (and the person that introduced them) receive a commission.
    Sometimes a newly recuited UW rep needs a qouta of new customers to qualify for a bonus or a better position in their marketing plan. The new recruit could be inexperienced in the service offered to you.
    Its not a money saving piece of advice, but Id end your nightmare, pay the exit fee and move on.
    A quality mobile service is essential part of life, dont let UW drain your energy.
    Most service providers offer a coverage map on their websites, shop around.
    Not the answer you want to read if you dont have the 74, sorry.

    HI, i used to have a signal with UW, but in the past 6 months i think that something has changed in regards to the equipment they use, at any rate the signal went to nothing, Even in the nearest town! And its not my phone either, the friend who introduced me to UW came for a visit here and they could not get a signal either much to their frustration. UW say they will only let me out of the contract if i agree to go through a technical rigaramole of them trying to fix the issue, which will involve putting a femtocell in my house and charging me extra for it!
